President’s Letter

Dear HCVMA Members,

As we welcome the spring season, we hope you are gearing up for the busy months ahead. To help you prepare for parasite season, we invite you to join our upcoming virtual March Continuing Education event.

Thank you to everyone who attended our second in‑person meeting of the year in February. It was a full house, and the engagement was outstanding. Dr. Robinett’s presentation brought forward innovative approaches to challenging cases, and member feedback reflected that enthusiasm—describing the session as “out‑of‑the‑box,” “something different,” and “amazing.”

Upcoming CE Event: Rising to Meet New Parasite Challenges

Thursday, March 12 – Virtual Webinar - Meetings — Harris County Veterinarian Medical Association

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Susan Little, an internationally recognized leader in veterinary parasitology. Dr. Little will provide the latest updates on parasite prevention and control—particularly relevant to our Texas climate, where both endo‑ and ectoparasites remain endemic year‑round. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your clinical approach ahead of peak parasite season.
