All-Day Meeting - May 5, 2019 - Anesthesia/ECC
Dr. Andre Shih, DACECC/DACVS, will deliver an engaging and educational talk about anesthesia & the emergency/critical care environment. Dr. Shih received his degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and completed his residency anesthesia at the University of Florida. He currently practices at Capital Veterinary Specialists in Jacksonville, FL.
The topics will be:
1. Anesthesia in the critical patient
2. Respiratory distress - cardiac vs respiratory - the first 12 hours
3. Coagulopathy in the ICU

The meeting will be held at Maggiano's Little Italy, from 8-4 pm. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. This meeting is free for all HCVMA members. If you are not a member, you can still pay for the meeting online in advance.

Our lunchtime CE topic will feature Dr. Caleb Hudson, DVM, DACVS, on arthritis. Dr. Hudson received his DVM from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed his residency at the University of Florida Gainsville CVM. He has published numerous studies and currently works at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists as a surgeon. His primary interests are orthopedics, joints, and minimally invasive surgery.
